The ALCS, which seemed lopsided in one team’s favor just yesterday, has gotten a little more interesting.
The Toronto Blue Jays were down 2-0 to the Mariners, their home field advantage gone for the time being, when the series shifted to Seattle for Game 3 yesterday evening, but an explosion of offense — 13 runs and nine extra-base hits, to be exact — was more than enough to beat the Mariners and finally record a win in the series.
Seattle still has two home games to potentially wrap things up before the series would go back to Toronto for Games 6 and 7, if necessary.
“This is a team that has proven over and over again that fighting back, bouncing back and having resiliency is part of their DNA,” Seattle manager Dan Wilson said shortly after last night’s game wrapped up. “Tomorrow is a chance to do that again.”

How to watch Blue Jays vs. Mariners ALCS Game 4 for free
If you don’t have cable, you’ll need a live TV streaming service to stream the MLB playoffs for free. One option we love is DIRECTV, which comes with a five-day free trial and starts at $49.99/month for genre packs, with plenty of subscription options and genre packs that include FOX.
You can also catch the rest of the MLB playoffs and the upcoming World Series with Sling TV’s Orange + Blue plan, which is currently 50% off for your first month.
Blue Jays-Mariners Game 4 starting pitchers
Max Scherzer will make his first postseason start for the Toronto Blue Jays after being added to the playoff roster for the ALCS. Scherzer last pitched on Sept. 24, but has kept up with training and simulated games, making him ready and rested for tonight’s start.
Luis Castillo will be on the mound for Seattle. Castillo’s last start came on Oct. 4 in Game 2 of the ALDS against Detroit, but he was integral to Seattle’s bullpen in their marathon ALDS Game 5 as he recorded the final four outs of the game.
