Giancarlo Stanton believes he is healthy enough to see some time in the outfield for the first time in nearly two years, if needed to play there due to Aaron Judge’s flexor injury.
Stanton replied “yes” when asked by The Post if he’s on board with Aaron Boone’s assertion Saturday that the Yankees will find out if the 35-year-old designated hitter can “be an option” in the outfield if Judge needs to serve as the DH when he’s ready to return from the 10-day injured list.
“I’ll be fine. When they put me out there, I’ll be fine,” Stanton told The Post before Sunday’s game against the Phillies. “I don’t know when it will be. This all has happened in the last 24 hours, but I do feel like I can do it.”
Stanton also dealt with elbow issues in spring training, missing the first 10 weeks of the regular season before returning to the lineup on June 13.
