On Tuesday, February 11, video of Elon Musk, 53, and his son X Æ A-Xii, whom he shares with Grimes, was seen around the country as Musk made remarks from the Oval Office alongside President Donald Trump.
X, 4, was there as his father spoke to the press.
At one point, the tiny tot was seen sitting on Musk’s shoulders, making faces at the camera, and trying to get Trump’s attention.
After the press conference was widely shared in the media, Grimes, 36, took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to say that she was unaware X would be present at the press conference.
A commenter later sent her a note about her son, writing, “Lil X was very polite today! You raised him well. He was so cute when he told DJT. ‘please forgive me, I need to pee.’”
Grimes responded to the comment, writing, “He should not be in public like this. I did not see this, thank (you) for alerting me. But I’m glad he was polite. Sigh.”
Grimes, born Claire Elise Boucher, and Musk split in 2022, but share three children, X, Exa Dark Sideræl, 3, and Techno Mechanicus, 2.
And this is far from the first time Grimes has publicly denounced Musk’s decision to parade their son out in public.
A week after Musk took X to a New Year’s Eve party at Mar-a-Lago, Grimes shared her disapproval, The Cut reports.
“I have made it clear I do not approve of that in every conceivable way I know how. I am desperate to solve it. It is a personal tragedy to me. But currently I don’t know how to do that,” Grimes said.
