Observations from Friday’s Giants training camp practice:
Reach out
Rookie OLB Arvell Reese showed that his great size and arm length can be big factors.
A pass from Jaxson Dart should have been completed to Odell Beckham Jr. … until the 6-foot-4 Reese put up his left arm and knocked the ball away.
Now, now boys
Dart’s pass to the right sideline for WR Ryan Miller looked like a leaping completion until CB Korie Black raced over for the pass breakup.
Black and other defensive players celebrated over the fallen Miller, which seemed to upset TE Isaiah Likely.
Caught my eye
No. 13 leaped into the air to snare a deep ball over the middle from Jameis Winston. In years past, that would have been Beckham.
Nowadays it is Jalin Hyatt, who needs to impress this summer to stick around on the roster.
Injury report
WR Malik Nabers did not participate in practice, but there’s no reason for alarm. After two strong days working individual drills coming off his ACL surgery, the plan was for him to rest Day 3. … TE Tanner Conner left practice early.
