It’s been more than two weeks since the World Cup started, and Leon Goretzka still is getting familiar with the landscape.
A hilarious video emerged Saturday afternoon of Germany’s midfielder accidentally walking onto the wrong bus.
Goretzka was spotted accidentally walking into the Ecuador team bus instead of the Germany team bus.
As Goretzka entered the bus, he was seen through the windshield of the bus walking in and immediately turning around after realizing he was on the wrong team’s bus.
Goretzka played off the awkward moment very nonchalantly as he casually walked off the Ecuador bus without an expression and made his way over to Germany’s.
The awkward moment between Goretzka and Ecuador came after Ecuador pulled off a come-from-behind 2-1 win to keep its World Cup dreams alive.
Throughout three matches during the World Cup, Goretzka has appeared in two of Germany’s games and has logged 22 minutes during the group stages.
His highest amount of playing time came during Germany’s dominant 7-1 victory over Curacao on June 14.
