Retired tennis star Eugenie Bouchard got the royal treatment at Wimbledon 2026.

The 32-year-old Canadian, who retired from tennis last July, shared some of the behind-the-scenes of her experience in the tournament’s Royal Box — a exclusive, invite-only seating area at Centre Court reserved for VIPs, such as the British Royal Family, government officials, tennis champions, and celebrities.

“What an honour to be invited to the Royal Box. Every time I played on this court I always looked up to see who was there. Never thought I would sit in the box myself one day,” Bouchard, who reached the Wimbledon Championships singles final at age 20 in 2014, wrote.

“It was as perfect as you’d imagine! The company, the tea break, and of course the tennis. Thank you Deborah & @wimbledon,” she wrote, referring to All England Club Chair Deborah Jevans.

Bouchard was also at this year’s tournament working, as she provided commentary for BBC Sport.

Taking to her Instagram Story, Bouchard gushed over the facilities at Wimbledon.

“First time back since I was a player!” she wrote. “Amazing new facilities @wimbledon.”

Bouchard juggled fame and social media stardom after reaching the Wimbledon final.

She earned a career-high world ranking of No. 5.
