Even at this early point in Marc Gatcomb’s career, there’s a heuristic developing: If the 25-year-old can start creating havoc, throwing his body around on the forecheck, good things follow. 

Just 28 games into his career, there’s already been ups and downs.

But they’ve generally followed that pattern. 

So it’s no surprise that when Gatcomb was asked Wednesday morning about what’s led to a solid run of performances lately, he talked about playing to his identity.
