The No. 1 team in the country will take on the Clemson Tigers as a massive favorite on Friday night in Charlotte for a spot in the ACC Championship game.
Duke has been utterly dominant this season, losing only to Texas Tech and North Carolina by a total margin of four points.
The biggest reason for the Blue Devils’ success has been Cameron Boozer, who is enjoying one of the best freshman seasons in recent college basketball history.
And he’s only getting better as the season goes on.
Boozer has been as consistent as they come, but his game is quietly improving as March Madness hits its peak.
There’s no better area to prove so than his production from behind the arc.
After struggling from deep early on this season, averaging below 36 percent from 3-point land, Boozer is shooting 44.6 percent from three from January on.
While that number is still on relatively low volume, Boozer has slowly increased his looks from three, culminating in a 2-for-5 performance from deep in Thursday’s ACC Tournament battle against Florida State.
The Tigers have struggled to stop the three this season, allowing opponents to shoot 32.7 percent from deep, which is tied for 288th in the country.
In their first and only matchup this season, a month ago, a 67-54 win for the Blue Devils, Boozer made a pair of threes against Clemson.
