Los Angeles Dodgers spent the past 18 seasons watching legendary pitcher Clayton Kershaw. Now they’ll get to hear him.
The Dodgers have announced that Kershaw will be on the call for the Dodgers’ game against the Atlanta Braves on Tuesday, as part of the Spectrum SportsNet LA (SNLA) broadcast.
The three-time Cy Young Award winner, 2014 National League MVP and three-time World Series champion will be joining Joe Davis and Kirsten Watson for pregame coverage and throughout the game.
Kershaw being on the call adds another intriguing element to what’s already a captivating series for the Dodgers. They’re heading to Atlanta with an 80-52 record, which gives them a nine-game lead in the NL West.
The Braves are currently leading the NL East with a 76-55 record. These two teams are among the favorites to win the NL pennant, and will be battling for playoff seeding for the rest of the regular season. Therefore, the Dodgers winning this road series would be a major statement to the rest of the league that their slump from earlier in August is in the rearview mirror.
