Everyone is going crazy for Chloé!
The French fashion house has been a red-carpet standout under the reign of new creative director Chemena Kamali. Founded in 1952 by Egyptian-born Parisian designer Gaby Aghion, the label’s most recent era is all about free-flowing fabrics and bohemian brilliance.
The Chloé contingent was alive and well at the Met Gala this year. For the first Monday in May, Kamali (center) dressed “Barbie” director Greta Gerwig, actress Sienna Miller, “Emilia Pérez” star Zoe Saldaña and “Sex Education” standout Emma Mackey.
Promoting summer blockbuster “Twisters” in July, English actress Daisy Edgar-Jones had a viral moment flouncing through the streets of New York in two back-to-back looks from the designer: first an effortless nude mini dress and then a baby-blue set — complete with a chunky golden necklace and camel-colored boots.
On an auspicious August evening, popstar Suki Waterhouse unleashed her inner Stevie Knicks, opening for Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour in London and wearing a ’70s dream dress.
Chloé’s red-carpet rule continued into autumn, with Jennifer Lopez bringing boho glam to the TIFF Golden Globes party in September, decked out in Kamali’s nude ruffles. Meanwhile, the wonderfully witty Maya Rudolph wore romantic, rust-colored Chloé to the 2024 Emmys, and Diane Kruger attended the brand’s Paris fashion week show in fabulous fringe.
