Unsettling new footage appears to show attempted Trump assassin Thomas Crooks casually strolling through the Butler rally crowd barely more than an hour before he unloaded a rifle at the former president’s head.
In the clip, filmed by employees of the clothing company Iron Clad USA, Crooks is seen casually strolling through a row of vendors and looking about at the crowd around him.
The video was filmed at 4:26 p.m. – about an hour and forty minutes before Crooks fired eight shots from a factory roof outside the Butler, Pennsylvania, rally, striking Trump in the ear, killing one bystander, and wounding two more.
Here’s the latest on the assassination attempt against Donald Trump:
Iron Clad USA’s owner said they found the clip while looking through footage they’d taken from the rally.
“We were there just trying to sell our patriotic hats from my small business,” the company wrote in a TikTok video where they released the clip.
“Captured a video of Thomas Matthew Crooks at 4:26pm, just before the assassination attempt occurred.”
In the clip, Crooks was alone and wearing the same clothing he was wearing when he was shot dead by the Secret Service.
