Candace Owens Claims Erika Kirk Lied About Not Dating Anyone for 5 Years, Had Multiple Boyfriends

News RoomBy News RoomFebruary 28, 20261 ViewsNo Comments

Candace Owens is calling out Erika Kirk for remarks she made about her romantic history.

During the Thursday, February 27, episode of her Bride of Charlie YouTube series, Owens, 36, claimed Erika, 37, lied about who she dated before meeting her late husband Charlie Kirk in  2018. (Charlie was fatally shot at a Utah university speaking event in September 2025. He was 31.)

“There is something casual about the way Erika lies and how she lies about her background, how she lies about whether or not she’s had boyfriends, didn’t date for five years. That’s not true,” Owens said. “It’s almost like she glitches and she doesn’t remember. And there’s an element of that that to me feels like information is being downloaded, like she’s remembering things and can’t quite remember it.”

In the same episode, Owens also accused Erika of trying to date high-profile people and attempting to get into the limelight.

“Erika without question and anybody who’s being objective and honest and looking at her history of the people that she dated and the people that she wanted to be in close proximity to can guarantee to you that this girl wanted to be famous like, very badly, wanted to be famous one way or the other,” Owens said.

Us Weekly has reached out to representatives for Erika for comment.

Previously, Erika came under fire for claiming she “never dated” during the five years she lived in New York before meeting Charlie.

“I saw vicariously through my roommate how terrible it was,” Erika said during a CBS Town Hall in December 2025. “Somehow, getting drinks became a replacement for having coffee or breakfast. I personally would rather have coffee or brunch with someone than go for drinks. I don’t drink — I find it unproductive. Not because I’m holier than anyone else; I just don’t operate that way.”

She continued, “I always thought it was very strange how she would go for drinks with one guy and then go to dinner with another.”

However, resurfaced photos and videos from Erika’s past linked her to several men.

A since-deleted Instagram post reportedly from September 2017 showed Erika taking a painting class with Cabot Phillips. It was captioned, “Yes, we’re that couple who gets painting lessons together.”

Erika also auditioned for The Amazing Race in 2014 with her then-boyfriend JT Massey. A clip of their audition resurfaced after Erika denied dating anyone for five years.

In the summer of 2018 before striking up a relationship with Charlie, Erika also filmed a guest appearance on Season 3 of Bravo’s Summer House, where she was featured as a potential love interest for cast member Jordan Verroi.

Erika, who shared two children with Charlie, praised her husband when she spoke out about his death two days after he was shot.

“Charlie always said that when he was gone, he wanted to be remembered for his courage and for his faith,” Erika said in a press conference in September 2025. “Charlie loved life. He loved his life, he loved America, he loved nature which always helped him closer to God,”

She continued. “He loved the Chicago Cubs and my goodness did he love the Oregon Ducks. Most of all, Charlie loved his children and he loved me with all of his heart and I knew that everyday. He made sure I knew that everyday.”
