In the midst of what would result in a 3-2 loss to the Arizona Diamondbacks for the San Francisco Giants at Oracle Park, two basketball stars were spotted in the crowd on Wednesday afternoon.
WNBA star Caitlin Clark was seen in the crowd speaking with Golden State Warriors forward Brandin Podziemski.
Clark was donning a black and white Giants cap next to their dugout, speaking with Podziemski, who was sitting right in front of her during the game.
Podziemski is in the early stages of the NBA offseason after the Warriors’ season came to an end following an NBA Play-In tournament loss to the Phoenix Suns, while Clark is a month in to her third NBA season.
This season, Clark is starting to really come into her own and is beginning to turn into the star she was in college, when she took the world by storm playing at Iowa in 2023.
After her 2023 season at Iowa came to an end, Clark became the No.1 overall pick and instantly became the face of the Indiana Fever.
This season, she is leading the WNBA for assists [9] and is third in the league for points, averaging 23.8 per game.
Podziemski just finished his third NBA season and reached a career high mark by appearing in all 82 of the Warriors’ games last season. His season finished with him averaging 13.8 points per game, 5.1 total rebounds, and 3.7 assists.
In the video, Podziemski is seen introducing himself to Clark by shaking her hand while the two are chatting alongside a Giants fan.
Clark and the Fever currently stand second in the WNBA Eastern Conference with a 4-2 record. They are coming off a 90-82 victory over the Valkyries last Friday.
