Billy Ray Cyrus and girlfriend Elizabeth Hurley put on a loved-up display at the premiere of her new show, The Inheritance.
Cyrus, 63, and Hurley, 60, posed together on the red carpet in London on Wednesday, August 6, with the Austin Powers actress sporting a figure-hugging red dress and gold heels and the “Achy Breaky Heart” singer wearing one of his signature all-black looks. The couple linked arms as they smiled for the camera and later held hands while gazing into each other’s eyes.
Cyrus and Hurley’s outing comes four months after they confirmed their romance on Easter Sunday in April. Hurley shared a photo of herself snuggling up to Cyrus as the Hannah Montana alum gave her a peck on the cheek.
“Billy Ray and Liz have both been through a lot in life and have bonded over life experiences,” a source exclusively told Us Weekly of the romance that month. “Liz is a very compassionate person, which Billy Ray adores.”
Though the Easter photo marked their public debut, a second insider told Us that the two had been dating for some time.
“Her friends have known about it for a while as it’s not a new thing,” the source shared, noting that Hurley “had sworn them all to secrecy and they didn’t tell anyone outside of her tight circle of mostly gay men.”
Cyrus and Hurley met a few years before their romance began while working together on Netflix’s Christmas in Paradise in 2022.
“We did a film two years ago down in the Caribbean, and we did very few scenes together, but the couple times we were in the same scene, there was a chemistry there that [I] felt,” Cyrus said on Apple Music’s Ty Bentli Show in April. “We just laughed, and it was at a time [when] I wasn’t laughing a lot and I found that the oddest thing.”
Cyrus continued, “Then two more years of life went by, and it was this evolution that some might’ve looked at and certainly I felt like, ‘Wow, can life get any harder? Can it get any tougher for me?’ At a certain point, it was like, ‘You can’t get knocked down any flatter than lying on your back when life is kicking you in the gut.’”
Prior to his relationship with Hurley, Cyrus was married to Tish Cyrus from 1993 to 2022. The pair share kids Miley, 32, Braison, 31, and Noah, 25, and he adopted Tish’s kids from a previous relationship, Brandi, 38, and Trace, 36. (Billy Ray is also a father to son Christopher, 33, with ex Kristen Luckey.)
Following his divorce from Tish, 58, Billy Ray married Firerose in October 2023, but they divorced in August 2024.
Billy Ray had been going through his divorce from Firerose, 36, when Hurley reached out to him via text.
“I didn’t even know the number, and it’s like, ‘Hey, it looks like life might be a little bit tough and just wanted you to know I’m in your corner. You got a friend in your corner,’” Cyrus recalled on the Ty Bentli Show.
Hurley, who is a mother to son Damian, 23, gushed about her relationship with Billy Ray to reporters on the red carpet at the Breast Cancer Research Foundation’s Hot Pink Party in New York City in May.
“I think people found Billy and I being together a little surprising,” she said. “It’s not surprising to me because we’re actually quite similar and get on extremely well. There has been quite a reaction. … We both like to laugh a lot, and we both love the country. And we both love country music, both love movies. We’ve got a lot in common — and cowboy boots, definitely.”
