WASHINGTON — Senate Judiciary Chairman Chuck Grassley accused the FBI of spying on eight of his Republican colleagues during the Arctic Frost probe, which formed the basis for former Special Counsel Jack Smith’s work.
Grassley released a now unclassified FBI file from 2023 showing that the bureau had a “toll analysis” approved.
“This document shows the Biden FBI spied on 8 of my Republican Senate colleagues during its Arctic Frost investigation into ‘election conspiracy,’” Grassley said on X.
The document listed Sens. Lindsey Graham, Bill Hagerty, Josh Hawley, Dan Sullivan, Tommy Tuberville, Ron Johnson, Cythia Lumis, and Marsha Blackburn.
Grassley and other senators claimed they received that document earlier in the day and have no idea why the bureau would’ve been interested in collecting toll information on them.
“The only thing we all had in common was we were all Republicans,” Hagerty said, blasting the Biden administration over the ordeal.
