Below Deck Mediterranean star Nathan Gallagher was arrested on domestic violence charges in Australia late last year, Us can confirm.
Gallagher was charged with “assault occasioning actual bodily harm, intentionally chok[ing] a person without consent and common assault” in December 2025, according to a police memo. (Rolling Stone was first to report the news.)
Per the New South Wales Police statement, Gallagher was arrested on December 27, 2025, following an alleged incident that took place after the Christmas holiday. He was charged after allegedly assaulting an unidentified 29-year-woman at a Sydney-area apartment building.
While there were no reports of any injuries sustained by either party, the police eventually granted Gallagher conditional bail. It is not clear how he pleaded.
Neither Gallagher nor Bravo has publicly addressed the incident. Us has reached out for comment.
While further details have not yet been revealed, Gallagher is also the subject of a corresponding Apprehended Violence Application that was filed on behalf of Gael Cameron in New South Wales, per court documents viewed by Us. (An AVO is a legal order requested from a court to protect a person from someone who makes them fear violence, intimidation, harassment or stalking that is widely used in Australia, per NSW Government’s official website.)
Gallagher and Cameron, 30, have been together since 2024 and are parents of 13-month-old son Kayden.
Cameron has not publicly addressed the court motion, with a hearing currently scheduled for Tuesday, September 1.
Gallagher and Cameron met on Below Deck Mediterranean season 9.
“With Gael, it just happened insanely fast. We connected and we grew a very, very strong bond. As time went on, we were just going with the flow,” Gallagher exclusively told Us in June 2024 of their relationship. “I was going with the flow. I didn’t want to put too much pressure on her. I didn’t want to set us up to hook up in certain areas or certain times. It was more of what was happening in the moment.”
Gallagher and Cameron welcomed their first baby in June 2025.
Shortly after celebrating Kayden’s first birthday earlier this summer, Gallagher reflected on his experience on the high seas.
“Since I was 18, I’ve spent my life chasing horizons. The ocean became my home, and every port was just another stop along the way. I thought freedom was never staying in one place for too long,” Gallagher wrote via Instagram in June. “Now, a decade later, thousands of miles from Ireland, friends and family, I’m learning to build a life that’s primarily based on coming back to land, I realise something I never understood when I was younger.”
He added at the time, “You can sail every ocean in the world, but you’ll never outrun the place that lives in your heart. The sea gave me a life of adventure, but Ireland gave me my roots. And no matter how far I travel, part of me will always be standing on that little island at the edge of the world.”
