Pick up your phone, Tony Khan, and call Shayna Baszler and Ronda Rousey (if you haven’t already).
The former UFC women’s bantamweight champion has been intensely training for the past eight weeks after the birth of her and husband Travis Brown’s second daughter, Liko’ula Pā’ūomahinakaipiha, in January. I can’t imagine she is doing it just for the summer bod.
Rousey has said her full‐time career is over, but she doesn’t seem like someone who will sit on her hands too long and will want to be away from her kids too often — something Hollywood or combat sports would certainly demand.
It leaves Khan and AEW in a unique position after Baszler was among WWE’s roster cuts last Friday. AEW already employs one of the Four Horsewomen of MMA in Marina Shafir, who is currently working with Jon Moxley’s Death Riders faction.
