There’s something about a bold red coat that makes even the simplest outfit feel instantly festive. It’s sophisticated, eye-catching and practically does all the holiday dressing for you. Lea Michele just reminded Us why a statement coat might be the only wardrobe upgrade we need this season — and we found a way to recreate her look for less.
The former Glee star stepped out in New York City’s Tribeca neighborhood on October 27, 2026, wearing a bright red oversized trench coat with a soft gray sweater, slim black pants and oversized sunglasses. While the rest of her ensemble was understated, her vibrant outerwear stole the show, proving that a single statement piece can transform an otherwise simple look. Luckily, we found a chic $39 version on Amazon that’s perfect for everything from holiday shopping to festive dinner plans.

The WHHFOOH Trench Coat has all the makings of an expensive-looking winter wardrobe staple. Its vibrant red hue, oversized silhouette and sophisticated notched lapels give it the same statement-making appeal as Michele’s outerwear. Better yet, the removable self-tie belt lets you cinch your waist for a more flattering, defined shape or leave it open for a relaxed finish.
Made from a wool-blend fabric with anti-static and anti-pilling treatments, this coat is designed to look polished through repeat wears. The slightly dropped shoulders give it a relaxed fit that’s easy to layer over chunky sweaters when temperatures dip. One Amazon shopper even described it as a “great added layer for transitional weather.”
The best part? You don’t have to save this statement coat for special occasions. Throw it over jeans and a turtleneck for everyday errands, or let it elevate a simple black dress and heels for holiday parties. Available in sizes S to 3X, it also comes in burgundy, khaki and several other shades, with another buyer calling it “super cute” and saying it “offers a decent amount of warmth.”
Michele just proved that sometimes the best holiday outfit starts with the coat, not what’s underneath. At just $39, this Amazon lookalike makes recreating her festive street style surprisingly affordable. Snag the statement-making red shade now, and you’ll have a chic outerwear staple to carry you through the holiday season and beyond.
