Power Rangers’ Amy Jo Johnson ‘Happy to Be Alive’ After Donnie Wahlberg’s Plane Skidded Off Runway

News RoomBy News RoomOctober 21, 20262 ViewsNo Comments

Power Rangers alum Amy Jo Johnson revealed she was among the passengers on board Donnie Wahlberg‘s private plane that skidded off the runway at a Las Vegas airport.

“It was an eventful weekend. That’s for sure,” Johnson, 56, wrote via Instagram on Monday, October 19, alongside a series of photos from Wahlberg’s New Kids on the Block concert on Saturday, October 17, as well as photos of the plane crashing into a runway fence on Sunday, October 18.

She continued, “Watching the incredible @donniewahlberg and his mates crush it in their last show in Vegas. And then surviving a very hairy plane situation. But we did. And I’m grateful and very happy to be alive!”

“You rock Amy Jo! So thankful for you, and for my buddy Matt! So very blessed!” Wahlberg, 57, commented on the actress’ post.

On Sunday, Wahlberg confirmed that he and his “team/friends [were] onboard the aircraft” that failed to take off from Vegas that morning.

“We were taking off and didn’t get up in the air and ran out of runway. I’m just going to tell you these pilots saved our lives,” the Boston Blue star said in a video shared via Instagram. “And God covered us.”

“We just finished praying, and I looked out the window and said, ‘We are not getting up in the air today.’ But we’re safe and thankful and all is well,” Wahlberg added.

“It was a rather intense few moments (which felt like a few long minutes),” the actor and singer captioned the post. “Thankful to God, of course, and to our incredible pilots who did an amazing job of keeping us safe and avoiding a serious disaster. The airplane did take some lumps — but we did not. Thank you to all the emergency personnel on the ground in Las Vegas! You all were absolutely wonderful.”

Harry Reid International Airport confirmed the incident in a statement shared via social media, writing, “At approximately 11 a.m., upon departure, a general aviation aircraft skid off runway 1L at LAS and made contact with the perimeter fence. There are no known injuries at this time. Runways 1R and 1L will be closed for inspection, and travelers may experience some delays. We will provide updates as more information becomes available.”

The Federal Aviation Administration said the plane was bound for Toronto Pearson Airport in Canada. There were eight people on board when the pilot aborted the takeoff and went off the runway, which led to the plane hitting the fence.
