Milania Giudice‘s lawyer has spoken out about the court date in her domestic violence case being postponed.
“Without getting into the specifics, I determined that adjourning the hearing was the appropriate course of action,” Alan Kraminsky told Us in a statement on Tuesday, September 29.
Kraminsky continued: “I join Milania’s family in respectfully asking everyone to give her the privacy and space she needs.”
Us can confirm that the next court date in the case is set for December 1. Milania, 20, was arrested in May at her mother Teresa Giudice’s home after an alleged incident. She was charged with simple assault and purposely/knowingly causing bodily injury before pleading not guilty to all charges.
According to the arrest report obtained by Us, Milania’s sister Gabriella Giudice called authors to report her “acting erratically” and “throwing food [and] candles.” The alleged victim was not named and no injuries were reported. Milania broke her silence on the arrest in July in response to a fake mugshot circulating on social media.
“I have one thing to say, I’m going to save the rest for tomorrow. But that ‘mugshot’ of me, if you guys really believe. That’s AI,” she said in a TikTok video. “I ate down in my mugshot. I looked fire. I mean, nothing to be proud of.”
Milania said “s*** happens in life,” adding, “It is what it is, you gotta learn from it. Just become a better person and talk about it. I just was not in a good area in my life. That happens, I’ve been through a lot in life and some other stuff happened to me. Just because you guys think you know everything that happens in my life, you just really don’t.”
Later that month, news broke that Milania’s best friend Victoria Zardoya died after suffering a fatal fall while exploring the ruins of Fort Dade at age 20.
“Every Chapter Has Your Name In It 🤍🕊️,” Milania posted via Instagram in August 1. “My Victoria. My best friend. My sister. My soulmate. My partner in crime. There are no words in any language that could ever describe losing you.”
She continued, “I still wait for your name to pop up on my phone, I still expect to hear your laugh, and I still catch myself wanting to tell you something. My heart keeps forgetting what my mind already knows, but one thing I know for sure is that every chapter of my life has your name in it.”
Milania has continued to face challenges in the public eye when video footage surfaced on Wednesday, September 23 of a tense exchange between her and her mom. Milania’s rep, Marina DeSantis, told TMZ on Thursday, September 24, that her client is receiving professional support following the alleged incident.
Teresa, 54, has also spoken out, writing in an Instagram statement on Monday, September 28, “As a mother, there is nothing more important to me than the health, safety, and well-being of my children. The past few months have been incredibly difficult for our family, and I feel it is important to say something while also protecting my daughter during an extremely vulnerable time in her life.”
The reality star explained that Milania has “experienced tremendous heartbreak and significant psychological trauma.”
“Grief affects everyone differently, and watching your child try to process that kind of loss is something no parent can ever truly prepare for,” she continued. “Right now, my only focus is my daughter — making sure she is surrounded by love, family, support, and the care she needs.”
Teresa concluded: “Milania is my daughter before she is anything else. She is a young woman going through an incredibly difficult and deeply personal time, and she deserves the opportunity to heal without every moment of her pain being analyzed publicly. I am asking, from one mother to another, and from one family to all of you, to please show Milania compassion and kindness and allow her the privacy she needs right now.”
