Starting Monday, Apple customers can submit claims for the iPhone maker’s jaw-dropping $250 million settlement – snagging checks for as much as $95 over deceptive marketing tactics.
The claims window will remain open for three months, closing on Dec. 21, at which time any eligible claimants will forfeit their rights to the checks.
Customers who bought all iPhone 16 models, iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro Max devices in the US between June 10, 2024, and March 29, 2025, are eligible to submit claims.
Eligible claimants should visit SmartphoneAISettlement.com.
Those who qualify for a settlement payout will receive at least $25 per device. Payouts could go up to $95 depending on other factors, including how many claims are filed, according to Clarkson Law Firm, which led the lawsuit against the company.
In May, Apple agreed to pay $250 million to settle claims it misled customers about its devices’ Siri capabilities – marking one of the largest-ever settlements from the iPhone maker.
The lawsuit alleged Apple touted soon-to-come Siri AI features at its annual conference in 2024 when it advertised the iPhone 16 – but years later, those capabilities still weren’t delivered.
Apple customers “would not have purchased the Eligible Devices or would have paid significantly less, had they known Enhanced Siri features were not available,” the court filing said.
Apple officially launched Siri AI this month.
In the meantime, Apple’s products “offered a significantly limited or entirely absent version of Apple Intelligence, misleading consumers about its actual utility and performance,” alleged the lawsuit, which was filed last year.
