OnlyFans star Sophie Rain celebrates after pol who pitched 50% ‘Sin Tax’ loses Florida’s GOP gubernatorial primary

Sophie Rain’s gravy train is still on track.

The Tampa, Fla. resident and other top OnlyFans stars can breathe easy after Florida Republican gubernatorial candidate James Fishback – who vowed to slap a 50% “Sin Tax” on their earnings – was crushed in the Sunshine State’s Tuesday primary.

“I never believed voters were going to support singling out women and punishing them for doing completely legal work, so yes, I’m very happy to be keeping my money,” Rain told The Post Wednesday.

Fishback “wanted to take 50% of my income because he didn’t approve of how I make my living, and now he got about 10% of the vote,” added the 23-year-old, who says she has earned more than $100 million from OnlyFans since 2023 and called the tax proposal “the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard” back in January.

The 31-year-old Fishback, a far-right former investor, claimed the tax was a mechanism to “disincentivize and deter” the porn biz – and said the proposal would not only target OnlyFans creators, but also the “sick men online” who buy their lurid wares.

“I don’t want young women who could otherwise be mothers raising families, rearing children – I don’t want them to be selling their bodies to sick men online,” Fishback told NXR Studios in January.

“And I don’t want young, impressionable men who are straight from Christ … to be told and drawn into lust, and have their entire brain rewired,” he continued.

Fishback called out Rain specifically, claiming in an X post that she would owe the state $42 million in taxes under his proposal.

Rain, who also co-founded and is a member of the Bop House – a Florida compound that hosts a gaggle of adult stars who say they net a combined $15 million per month – said Wednesday that she’s “never had a problem with paying [her] fair share” and already shells out millions in taxes per month.

“What I had a problem with was a politician deciding that people like me deserved a special ‘sin tax’ because he personally disapproved of our careers,” she said.

“If you want to raise teachers’ salaries or pay for kids’ lunches, I’m all for that – but come up with a serious policy instead of using women and content creators as a political punching bag.”

Republican Rep. Byron Donalds, endorsed by President Trump, cruised to the gubernatorial nomination with 47.8% of the vote, easily defeating 10 other candidates, led by Lt. Gov. Jay Collins (25.2%).

Fishback came in a distant third place, with 10.5% of the vote, followed by former state House Speaker Paul Renner (8.5%).

Fishback did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
