Aaron Glenn did his best to keep up the facade after Friday night’s preseason opener.
The Jets coach was fielding question after question about how rookie quarterback Cade Klubnik performed in his first game and surely Glenn could sense the excitement building around the fourth-round pick.
“Don’t get it twisted at all, we’re still in a competition,” Glenn said. “This is just the first preseason game and those guys are going to continue to fight it out and I look forward to that. But I’ll tell you what, I was happy and proud with the way he operated.”
Glenn has to say this. We don’t.
