NASHVILLE, Tenn. — As Brian Daboll stands at a podium answering reporters’ questions, Robert Saleh walks by and shouts, “We love you, Daboll.”
“Saleh is going to work out,” Daboll says, cracking a smile. “He asks me if I want to come, and I tell him to do two for me.”
Their physiques are not the only reason Saleh and Daboll are an unlikely pair now working for the Titans. Saleh is the head coach and Daboll is his offensive coordinator, something that would have been tough to process just two years ago when the two were facing off in a joint practice as the Jets head coach and Giants head coach, respectively.
Saleh got fired by the Jets five games into the 2024 season. The Giants fired Daboll after 10 games last season.
