‘Hammer of the Gods’ new secret weapon upgrades US Army power to blast enemy missile attacks

News RoomBy News RoomJuly 31, 20260 ViewsNo Comments

The US Army has debuted the “Hammer of the Gods” — a cutting-edge new weapon-disrupting system designed to trick precision-guided enemy projectiles into missing their targets.

The portable electronic system, which can be deployed covertly from US military vessels, blinds the guidance systems of long-range artillery, guided missiles and cruise missiles, rendering them far less effective.

The military has been testing land-based variants for the last two years, but its test earlier this month off the US West Coast marks the first time it’s been demonstrated for maritime use, the Army said.

The signal disruptor works by jamming precision weaponry’s positioning, navigation and timing (PNT) signals – which are needed to ensure armaments hit their intended targets.

Without PNT data, these advanced weapon systems are effectively flying blind, increasing the odds of missed targets and mission delays.

The system also deploys a communications network to ensure friendly forces can stay in contact even when the Hammer of the Gods is pumping out its disruptive signal, or when operating in degraded environments.

Army officials told Fox News this month’s test run proved the system could be deployed, operated and recovered in a real-world maritime environment.

The test of the Hammer of the Gods was only the most recent example of the US flexing its advanced military tech in recent months.

In April, the dramatic rescue of an Air Force officer shot down over Iran received a big boost from a secretive new CIA tool called “Ghost Murmur,” which officials said enabled them to find the downed airman by detecting his heartbeat from afar.

The bleeding-edge technology combines nitrogen-vacancy center (NV) diamonds — used to measure magnetic fields — with artificial intelligence to filter out background noise, making heartbeats detectable even from the air.

It wasn’t known exactly how far away from the airman the Ghost Murmur was deployed, but University of Wisconsin-Madison physics professor Thad Walker said even detecting a heartbeat at a distance of 100 meters would be an “astounding” feat.

President Trump couldn’t help but boast a bit about the impressive new tech on a call with The Post at the time.

“Nobody even knows what that is. Nobody has ever heard of it before,” and hinted that the US military has even more tricks up its camouflaged sleeve.

“We have many other things that nobody has ever heard about. We have equipment the likes of which nobody has ever even thought about,” he intimated.
