Fire breaks out at Roger Federer’s massive Wimbledon party — two women escorted out for starting blaze

News RoomBy News RoomJuly 14, 20261 ViewsNo Comments

Roger Federer’s Wimbledon party proved to be too hot of a ticket.

A fire broke out at the 20-time Grand Slam champion’s massive party at a Wimbledon mansion on Sunday afternoon following the grass court tournament’s end as Jannik Sinner successfully defended his title against Alexander Zverev.

Two women had started the fire after flicking out their cigarette butts on some wooden chippings. No one was injured in the incident.

A guest recounted to The Sun that “audible gasps” spread throughout the crowd as people realized the blaze and how it quickly started to spread.

Security personnel ran to use hoses and buckets of water and after about 20 minutes, the fire had been contained, the guest explained. They continued to put out flames for about an hour.

The 400 guests were moved away from the scene and the two women, who had started the blaze, were reportedly asked to leave and escorted from the party. A charity auction that was taking place was also able to proceed.

“In the end, it was a hugely successful and fun evening,” the guest added.

The lavish party included a magician, a falconry display, some of boxing champ Anthony Joshua’s belts and lots of champagne.

Federer, an eight-time Wimbledon winner, was among the partygoers including MMA champ Tom Aspinall and snooker player Steve Davis.

The 44-year-old received was given a warm welcome back to Centre Court throughout the tournament as he sat in the Royal Box.

He even had a quiet moment alone in the box after it cleared out following Arthur Fery’s stunning win over Grigor Dimitrov to earn a spot in the quarterfinals.

Federer stayed in his seat alone as Zverev prepared for his fourth round clash against Jiri Lehecka.
