There has been a press box debate for years about which championship parade would be bigger: the Jets or the Knicks?
We may be about to see what one of those looks like.
As the Knicks begin the NBA Finals, it has been hard not to imagine what a playoff run like this by the Jets would look and feel like. In many ways, the two franchises have been similar for years.
Both franchises have not won a championship in more than 50 years. For the Knicks, the last title came in 1973. For the Jets, it was the 1968 season. Both teams have legends such as Clyde Frazier and Joe Namath who have overshadowed their current “stars” for years. Both franchises have felt mismanaged by owners James Dolan and Woody Johnson for much of this century.
