St. John’s foray into the international market continued Tuesday.
The Johnnies landed a verbal commitment from Senegalese forward Babacar Sane, sources told The Post.
The 6-foot-8 Sane, 22, has been playing in the top professional league in Germany.
“Physically, he should be playing in the NBA. He’s more than skilled to be able to play [in the NBA],” a longtime NBA scout said. “He’s every bit of 6-foot-8, he’s built like a tight end. He can run, he can jump, he shoots it better than OK.”
