Summer House’s Jesse Details Why He Was Suspicious of Amanda and West Before They Went Public

News RoomBy News RoomApril 22, 20260 ViewsNo Comments

Summer House’s Jesse Solomon had some suspicions that Amanda Batula and West Wilson were dating before they officially went public.

“There was a lot of just, like, flirting,” Jesse, 32, said on the Tuesday, April 21, episode of Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen.

He continued, “The boys went to brunch one day, and West went to brunch with Amanda after and didn’t tell us he was going to brunch with her.”

Another time, Jesse said he and Amanda’s estranged husband Kyle Cooke “ran into them at a bar,” saying that encounter took place around March, before Amanda, 34, and West, 31, went public with their burgeoning relationship.

Jesse added, “West and Amanda went to dinner without me in Miami when we were all there at the same time. Originally, I was just, like, offended, but then it made sense later. That was late Feb.”

Amanda and West first confirmed their budding romance in a joint March 31 Instagram statement, just two months after Amanda announced her separation from Kyle, 43.

“We’ve seen the growing online speculation, so while this is still very new, we wanted to provide some clarity,” they said at the time. “It was never our intention to purposely hide anything. Given the complicated relationship dynamics involved and the scrutiny that comes with being on a reality show, we needed a little space to process things privately before speaking on it.”

“We’ve shown up for each other as friends over the years, through all the highs and lows, and what’s developed recently was the last thing either of us expected,” Amanda and West continued. “Our connection grew out of a genuine, longstanding friendship, which made it especially important for us to approach this with care.”

“As our feelings evolved, we wanted to take time to understand exactly what we were feeling,” their statement concluded. “We also recognize that this has had an impact beyond just us and never wanted our actions to cause any hurt or be perceived as careless. We truly appreciate the understanding and respect as we navigate this.”

On Tuesday’s Watch What Happens Live, Jesse said he had “suspicions” that something was going on between West and Amanda before they went public but found out about the relationship at the same time as everyone else.

“They both denied it to my face multiple times,” Jesse alleged, adding that he suspected the pair were dating in late February.

“Amanda texted me apologizing, saying, ‘I’m sorry that I lied to you,’” he added.

Jesse claimed West hasn’t apologized, however, noting that “the trust is a little broken” between them.
