Justin Bieber headlined the second weekend of the 2026 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival after facing criticism for his previous set.
The Grammy winner, 32, returned to the main stage on Saturday, April 18, where he sang an array of old and new hits. Out of his throwback tracks, Bieber belted “One Time and “One Less Lonely Girl,” the latter which he sang to longtime fan Billie Eilish.
Eilish, 24, had been watching the show with her sister-in-law, Claudia Sulewski, and Justin’s wife, Hailey Bieber, according to Sulewski’s TikTok footage. Hailey, 29, then pushed Eilish to leave the VIP area and join Justin on the stage.
“Our one less lonely girl,” Sulewski, who is engaged to Eilish’s brother Finneas, captioned her video.
Justin previously made his Coachella headlining debut on Saturday, April 11, performing songs from his Swag and Swag II albums as well as displaying YouTube clips of music videos from earlier in his career. Although his first set received mixed reviews from fans, Justin was unbothered by the backlash.
“This is Justin in 2026. He doesn’t have anyone pushing him to do these huge pop spectacles like a 3D concert movie anymore. It’s all about vibing and enjoying where he’s at now,” a source exclusively told Us Weekly on Sunday, April 12. “There’s a lot less pressure on him, which allows him to put on the show that he wants to.”
While clips of Justin browsing YouTube during his first performance went viral online, the insider emphasized that those segments “were only a small part of a much larger set.”
“He didn’t sit behind a computer the whole time,” the source said. “Anyone who watched the full show saw that.”
According to the insider, Bieber’s inclusion of YouTube videos of himself was intended to serve as an “homage” to how he “got his start” in the music industry.
“It was meant to show his journey from posting videos on YouTube to performing on one of the world’s biggest stages, also on YouTube,” the source told Us. “Hailey thought it was adorable and very Justin. It was exactly what he planned and rehearsed.”
Prior to his back-to-back Coachella performances, an insider revealed to Us that Justin’s team was “filming both weekends for a special project.”
“Justin doesn’t feel he has something to prove, but at the same time, he wants to flex that he can put on a memorable show without a huge team like he once had,” the source shared, referencing Justin parting ways with longtime manager Scooter Braun in 2023. “It’s all his vision, brought to life by just a few people.”
During his first weekend at Coachella, Hailey was on hand to support Justin, blowing a kiss to him and waving at him from her spot in the audience. He also gave a sweet shout-out to Hailey — whom he married in September 2018 — and the couple’s son, Jack, 19 months, during his set.
“Hailey, babe, hallelujah,” he improvised while performing “Everything Hallelujah” before adding, “Baby Jack, hallelujah.”
Behind the scenes, Jack joined his famous parents at Coachella, as seen in photos posted by Hailey via Instagram on Monday, April 13. In one picture, Justin held the pair’s son alongside Hailey, while the model and Jack watched Justin’s soundcheck in another image.
“Such a special weekend. Nobody will ever know even an ounce of what it’s taken to get here,” she wrote. “So grateful for this beautiful life. SO proud. Let’s do it all again!!!!”
