Lexie Hull re-signs with Fever to reunite with Caitlin Clark

News RoomBy News RoomApril 11, 20261 ViewsNo Comments

A key piece of the Fever’s operation alongside Caitlin Clark will remain with Indiana for the future.

Lexie Hull, who finished fifth place in sixth person of the year voting two years ago and averaged a career-best 7.2 points per game in 2025, is returning on a multiyear deal, according to ESPN.

Hull seemingly announced the deal in a TikTok video Saturday alongside Clark at the Masters, who mouthed the words, “Tell a friend, tell a friend” before shifting the focus to Hull, who then did the same for, “She’s back.”

She was a “popular free agent” who had other options to consider before returning to Indiana, ESPN reported.

It’ll mark the fifth season for Hull — the No. 6 overall pick in the 2022 WNBA Draft — in Indiana, and she has served as part of the bridge connecting the pre-Clark and Clark eras.

Without Clark on their roster, the Fever struggled, and during Hull’s first full season as a starter in 2023, Indiana went 13-27 as the guard averaged 4.6 points per game.

But the trajectory of the franchise shifted when they won the rights to the No. 1 pick in the following draft, which allowed them to select Clark and — gradually — build toward becoming contenders.

Last year was supposed to be the season where that happened, and even with injuries sidelining Clark for chunks of the year, the Fever still advanced to the WNBA semifinals before falling.

Then, the Fever re-signed Kelsey Mitchell — who sparked their postseason run with Clark out — to a supermax deal.

Then, they brought back Hull, too.

And it marked the latest free agency domino to fall Saturday and throughout the WNBA’s condensed offseason following the ratifying of their new collective bargaining agreement, with the Liberty also agreeing to a multiyear deal with Jonquel Jones and signing star Satou Sabally to a multiyear deal.
