Exclusive | Puka Nacua’s lawyers sent ‘make it all better’ offer to accuser weeks after biting incident: attorney

News RoomBy News RoomMarch 25, 20261 ViewsNo Comments

Madison Atiabi’s attorney has alleged that weeks before his client sued Puka Nacua over a New Year’s Eve incident, one of the Rams star’s representatives reached out with a “make it all better” offer.

Joseph Kar, Atiabi’s lawyer, said in a statement to The California Post on Wednesday that in February — roughly six weeks after Nacua allegedly bit Atiabi during a Dec. 31, 2025 night out in Los Angeles — a colleague of Levi McCathern, Nacua’s attorney, attempted to get in touch with Atiabi.

“Jennifer Falk,” Kar said, “tried to contact the victim on February 11, 2026 asking to ‘make it all better.’”

Kar told The Post the message eventually led to Atiabi, Nacua and their reps sitting down at a mediation conference in Southern California earlier this month, but talks ended up going nowhere.

“Mr. Nacua’s attorneys flew in from Texas to attend on March 11, 2026,” Kar said. “The matter did not resolve and ended with Mr. McCathern making threats to go public and smear the victim to TMZ.”

Kar, on behalf of Atiabi, went on to file a request for a restraining order against Nacua on Tuesday. On Wednesday, he — again on Atiabi’s behalf — filed a lawsuit against the NFL player.

In both filings, he alleged that Nacua, 24, made Atiabi, 24, uncomfortable at a dinner by muttering “f—k all the Jews,” before he violently bit her on her shoulder when the two were in the back of a Sprinter van with friends following the meal.

McCathern and Falk vehemently denied those allegations in separate statements to The Post on Wednesday.

Regarding the alleged antisemitic remark, McCathern said they have “several sober witnesses who discredit” Atiabi’s claim.

“That’s a blatant lie,” he said.

As for the bite, Falk said it was all a byproduct of Nacua and Atiabi goofing around.

“When we learned, in February, that she was upset,” Falk said, “I reached out to her to offer an apology for the horseplay.”

Both McCathern and Falk claimed they have multiple videos that show Atiabi appearing to be completely unbothered by her NYE encounter with Nacua.

“I have three videos for you to reference,” McCathern said. “Ms. Atiabi can be seen twerking in all three videos — two videos inside the shuttle bus (one where Puka is visibly asleep in the background), and a third from inside the club, which was recorded after the bite incident — Ms. Atiabi’s behavior in that video is inconsistent with someone who feels distressed.”

Kar, though, said he firmly disagrees with the picture McCathern and his team have painted.

“I can say that we are disappointed that Mr. McCathern has made good on his threat to smear Plaintiff’s name publicly with reductive commentary and hyperbole calculated at trying to divert attention from his client physically attacking Ms. Atiabi in a fit of alcoholic violence after stating religious offensive words at the dinner,” Kar said. “This is not in any way a ‘horseplay’ event and Mr. Nacua and crisis management team will not deny there was an attack involving Mr. Nacua’s lips, mouth, and teeth gnashing down on Ms. Atiabi’s shoulder in a violent and provocative manner, and then him passing out cold.”

Kar later added that his client “attempted to make the best of the rest of the night, away from Nacua.”

“We believe the civil and criminal matters should be allowed to proceed without Mr. McCathern and his crisis team’s further interference and so that justice can be achieved for my client, without any further victim blaming and shaming,” Kar said.

Atiabi’s request for a restraining order was temporarily denied, pending an April 14 hearing. Her lawsuit, meanwhile, remains ongoing.

As for a potential criminal case against Nacua, a spokesperson for the Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office told The Post on Wednesday prosecutors are investigating the claims.
