Claims Netflix Lost Faith in Meghan and Harry Are ‘Completely Inaccurate,’ Spokesperson Says

News RoomBy News RoomMarch 17, 20262 ViewsNo Comments

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry remain on steady ground with Netflix, as a spokesperson shuts down claims that executives have lost faith in the couple following news about her As Ever brand partnership ending.

Insiders said that Netflix chief Ted Sarandos and chief content officer Bela Bajaria are fed up with the Sussex pact, according to a Tuesday, March 17, report published by Variety.

Sources claimed the couple’s “bedside manner” hasn’t gone over well in meetings, combined with less than desirable ratings for shows like With Love, Meghan fueling concerns that e-commerce may not be the most strategic route for Netflix to stay in cahoots with the former senior royals.

However, a Netflix spox denied the allegations, calling them “absolutely inaccurate.”

“Archewell has been a thoughtful and collaborative partner,” Bajaria told the publication, “and we’ve really enjoyed working with Harry and Meghan.”

Bajaria added, “They’re deeply engaged in the storytelling process and bring a unique, global perspective that aligns with the kinds of impactful projects our members respond to.”

Insiders in the report also claimed that Sarandos recently said he refused to take a call from Markle, 44, unless a lawyer was on the line, an allegation that has also since been disputed.

“This is blatantly false. In fact, Meghan texts and speaks with Mr. Sarandos regularly, and has been to his home, sans lawyers,” wrote Sussex attorney Michael J. Kump in a letter to Variety.

Reps for the streaming giant spoke out following confirmation that Netflix is ending their partnership with Markle’s As Ever brand, which launched in April 2025, after two seasons of With Love, Meghan.

“Meghan’s passion for elevating everyday moments in beautiful yet simple ways inspired the creation of the As Ever brand, and we are glad to have played a role in bringing that vision to life,” a Netflix spokesperson told Us in a statement on Friday, March 6. “As it was always intended, Meghan will continue growing the brand and take it into its next chapter independently, and we look forward to celebrating how she continues to bring joy to households around the world.”

Going forward, the show will continue to air on the streamer as a seasonal special. “As ever is grateful for Netflix’s partnership through launch and our first year,” a spokesperson for the brand added. “We have experienced meaningful and rapid growth and As Ever is now ready to stand on its own.”
