Saudi Arabia condemns Iran’s attacks on Gulf nations, offers ‘all its capabilities’ in the fight against Tehran

News RoomBy News RoomMarch 1, 20261 ViewsNo Comments

Saudi Arabia said it’s ready to put “all its capabilities” at its allies’ disposal, warning of “grave consequences” if retaliatory Iranian strikes continue — sparking fears of a wider conflict in the Middle East.

It comes after the Islamic Republic launched a barrage of missiles on US military bases in Saudia Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, the UAE and Jordan — in retaliation for US and Israel military strikes against Tehran overnight.

“The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia condemns and denounces in strongest terms the blatant Iranian aggression,” the Saudi Arabia’s foreign ministry said on a statement on X Saturday.

Iranian strikes targeted the Saudi capital, Riyadh, the ministry said.

“These attacks cannot be justified under any pretext or in any way whatsoever, and they came despite the Iranian authorities’ knowledge that the Kingdom had affirmed it would not allow its airspace or territory to be used to target Iran.”

“The Kingdom affirms its full solidarity with and unwavering support for the brotherly countries, and its readiness to place all its capabilities at their disposal in support of any measures they may undertake,” it added.

“It also warns of the grave consequences resulting from the continued violation of states’ sovereignty and the principles of international law.”

Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salma later made calls to the leaders of the Gulf states to reaffirm his support, he said in a statement.

The US and Israel launched airstrikes against the Iranian regime Saturday morning, with the initial strike near Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei’s Tehran office.

It came after the countries failed to make progress on a nuclear deal during talks earlier this week.
