Sean Hannity slams Gavin Newsom over Biden’s ‘cognitive decline’ —and hints at damning text

News RoomBy News RoomFebruary 27, 20261 ViewsNo Comments

Sean Hannity unleashed on Gavin Newsom, accusing him of being a “propagandist” for ailing former President Joe Biden — whom the governor gushed over as a father figure at a recent promotional event for his memoir, “Young Man in a Hurry.”

Hannity slammed Newsom as “repulsive” for being “silent about his cognitive decline” during the former president’s aborted 2024 reelection campaign, which ended when he dropped out amid questions about his cognitive health.

“You were one of Joe Biden’s biggest propagandists during his campaign. You were silent about his cognitive decline even after his disastrous debate. Remember what you texted me Gavin???” Hannity wrote on X.

.@GavinNewsom let’s call you out by name. You were one of Joe Biden’s biggest propagandists during his campaign. You were silent about his cognitive decline even after his disastrous debate. Remember what you texted me Gavin??? Then You went on national TV and flat out lied for…

“Then you went on national TV and flat out lied for him.”

Hannity also blasted Newsom’s support for immigration policies that “allowed millions of unvetted illegals into the country,” including criminals.

Newsom’s press office countered that Newsom was “loyal” to the former president — echoing the governor’s comments at a Monday event in South Carolina that Biden was like a father to him.

“Sean Hannity is having a COMPLETE MELTDOWN because Governor Gavin Newsom was loyal to President Joe Biden — even when it wasn’t politically convenient,” Newsom wrote.

“Loyalty is incomprehensible to someone like Sean, whose entire career depends on manufactured panic, nightly outrage, and whatever talking points the Epstein Class beams into his earpiece before airtime.”

Newsom was one of Biden’s staunchest defenders, even after a disastrous debate performance raised serious questions about the president’s well-being.

Biden dropped out of the presidential race in July 2024, immediately endorsing his then-Vice President Kamala Harris.

While onstage with former Democratic National Committee chair Jamie Harrison in Rock Hill, S.C., on Monday, Newsom fiercely defended Biden.

“I’ll never turn my back on Joe Biden, I won’t. It’s a character thing,” Newsom said at the event promoting his memoir.

He recalled having a tender exchange with the president in San Francisco discussing his son Hunter Biden’s addiction and legal issues — likening him to his similarly Irish Catholic dad, Bill Newsom.

“I will never ever turn my back on President Joe Biden, ever,” Newsom insisted.
