There is a strong hint of the Goldberg model being used for Oba Femi.
It’s just being done the right way for long-term success, not quickly out of the WCW Power Plant to “Monday Nitro.”
Femi, 27, has been a nearly unstoppable force, losing just three singles matches to two opponents in Ricky Saints and Tony D’Angelo since December 2023. Goldberg went “173-0” to start his tenure in WCW.
Femi even vacated the NXT championship before his move to the main roster, similar to Goldberg doing so with the United States championship after beating “Hollywood” Hulk Hogan for the WCW World Heavyweight championship in 1998.
