An autographed Shohei Ohtani card sold at auction this weekend for nearly half a million dollars.
The 2013 item featured an image of Ohtani during his time on the Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters as well as his signature, and its $430,050 price tag officially set the record for any pre-MLB Ohtani card.
The PSA 10-graded piece garnered 59 total bids on the Goldin block, and the final gavel formally came down on Saturday morning.

The card is considered one of Ohtani’s rarest. It shows him mid-pitch in his Ham Fighters jersey, with his bold autograph on the bottom. A certificate of authenticity was printed on the back.
Only 10 copies of the card were ever created.
Another Ohtani card also went for a small fortune on the Goldin block on Saturday — with a 2025 Topps piece netting $104,920.
The “Game For the Ages” memento was a 1-of-1 homage to the Dodgers star’s three-home run, 10-strikeout NLCS performance against the Brewers.
Ohtani memorabilia often fetches serious coin at auction — and Saturday’s results made it even more clear that the desire for pieces affiliated with Los Angeles’ two-way star isn’t slowing down anytime soon.
