Prince William, Kate Middleton and Their Kids Are a Picture-Perfect Family in 2025 Holiday Card

News RoomBy News RoomDecember 18, 20250 ViewsNo Comments

Prince William, Princess Kate Middleton, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis sent well-wishes for the holiday season along with a picturesque portrait of their family.

The Prince and Princess of Wales, both 43, released their 2025 holiday card via Instagram on Thursday, December 18, showing the couple posing with their three kids: George, 12, Charlotte, 10, and Louis, 7.

In the pic, the royals can be seen posing for the camera while sitting on a body of grass. William is pictured in a green sweater, matching his son, Louis, and daughter Charlotte, also clad in green. George opted for a dark-colored gilet jacket, but matched his dad by wearing matching blue jeans. Kate, meanwhile, can be seen in a dark-colored sweater as she places her arm around George.

“Wishing everyone a very Happy Christmas,” William and Kate wrote alongside the family photo, shot by photographer Josh Shinner in April.

As William and Kate prepare to celebrate the holidays with their family, the pair — who have been married since April 2011 — will also mark their first Christmas since Kate announced her cancer remission in January. (King Charles III, for his part, is still undergoing treatment for an undisclosed form of cancer.)

“The celebration may carry a wistful tone,” a source exclusively told Us Weekly earlier this month, “however, it will also be a time of celebration, especially after Kate received the all-clear.”

The insider added that the royals “all want to make the most of their time together.”

William and Kate will also enjoy their first Christmas in their new home after relocating from Adelaide Cottage to Forest Lodge in October.

“[They’re looking forward to] creating memories in what they consider their forever home,” the source noted, with a second insider telling Us that Kate’s parents, Michael and Carole Middleton, plan to join her and William at the royal family’s Sandringham House for the holiday.

As for George, Charlotte and Louis, like any children, the trio are excited for the festive season.

“They love Christmas,” the first source said, emphasizing that William and Kate try to keep their children as down to earth as possible. “They want to create a traditional Christmas without airs and graces, unlike what Charles might have had as a child.”

The royal family is expected to convene at Sandringham on Christmas Eve. There, they will enjoy an afternoon tea with traditional cakes, sandwiches and Coronation Chicken followed by a black-tie dinner and gift-giving, according to royal historian Marlene Koenig.

“The royals prefer jokey or inexpensive gifts,” Koenig told Us, as the second source revealed, “There’s a competition to see who can get the funniest one.”

On Christmas Day, the family will attend church at St Mary Magdalene, with Charles, Queen Camilla, William, Kate and the kids leading the procession from Sandringham. After the service, they’ll return home for drinks, a “very traditional meal with turkey … and all the trimmings” for lunch and a buffet dinner of “boar’s head, ham, salmon and numerous side dishes” as well as a lavish dessert table, per Koenig.

For Charles, the holiday will be especially significant given his ongoing health struggles.

“Charles wants to have a traditional holiday with all the royals,” the first source told Us. “Every family Christmas is precious, but it’s especially so for him this year.”
