Exclusive | National Education Association instructs staff on ‘neopronouns,’ ‘xeopronouns’ and battling conservative ‘villains’

The nation’s largest labor union held a conference earlier this month to train teachers on “Advancing LGBTQ+ Justice” — months after the Nation’s Report Card revealed student scores in reading and math were hitting new lows.

At the woke National Education Association (NEA) gathering, educators spent valuable time learning the nuances of so-called “neopronouns” and “xeopronouns,” while being instructed on ways to subvert conservative “villains” and their own “internal oppression.”

“When someone calls you and tells you they are transitioning, do not question them about what they are doing,” attendees were told, according to material obtained by conservative watchdog Defending Education.

“NEVER talk someone out of transitioning or question their decisions around their identity.”

In keeping with the theme of combatting and recognizing oppression, the conference included a land acknowledgement and a harsh critique of the United States.

“Oppressed people’s stories are deliberately kept out of the telling of the story of what we know as the United States of America,” the presentation material said.

“What we now call the United States of America is still an uncomfortable, awkward, and sometimes unsafe place to be a member of the LGBTQ+ community.”

Attendees were also told that “terminology around gender, identity, and sexual orientation changes every 2 years,” while the “terminology around race and ethnicity changes every 10 years.”

One of the PowerPoint slides in the workshop explained that transgenderism breaks down into two categories: binary — which includes “trans man” and “trans woman” — and non-binary: “genderqueer,” “genderfluid,” “bigender,” “demiboy,” “demigirl,” “neutrois” and more.

“People’s gender identity and sexual orientation can shift at different times,” another slide cautioned.

Educators were also warned about “dog whistle-y” terms, such as “homosexual,” “biological male/female,” “sex change,” “transgendered,” “sexual preference,” and “hermaphrodite.”

At one point, instructors also presented a video from Jeffrey Marsh, a Buddhist LGBTQ activist who uses they/them pronouns, to explain “neopronouns” and “xeopronouns.”

Neopronouns are nontraditional “pronouns” such as “xe/xem/xyr,” “ey/em/eir,” and “ze/zir/zirs.” Xeopronouns are used to describe conceptual identities like “star/stars/starself” and “cat/cats/catself.”

Ahead of the conference, NEA distributed handouts that implied Republicans are “villains” who use an “arsenal of racist dog whistles” and are “mobilizing their base with a potent mix of racist and transphobic tropes.”

Instructors were also briefed on tactics to advance the LGBTQ agenda and were urged to escalate their antics “gradually” so that the public has time to adjust.

In one exercise, teachers were given 30 minutes to design a campaign and received feedback from their peers on their strategy.

“We demand gender affirming bathrooms in every school because all students need to feel safe and included in our school,” one sample demand said.

The Post reached out to NEA for comment.

More than 3 million educators, staff, administrators, and other stakeholders are part of the union.

“America’s teachers and students deserve better from the nation’s largest teachers’ union, an organization that likely represents many of the teachers in our own local schools, from big cities to small towns,” Defending Education senior director of strategic initiatives Paul Runko told The Post.

“Shame on the NEA for taking dues from hardworking educators and using them to push a hyper-political agenda that does nothing to help students achieve excellence in the classroom.”
