These certainly look like the ‘Same Old Jets’ — even if Aaron Glenn promised otherwise

News RoomBy News RoomDecember 14, 20251 ViewsNo Comments

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Back in September, the Jets made their first trip of the season to the Sunshine State. It was after that game, a 29-27 loss to the Buccaneers, that first-year Jets coach Aaron Glenn defiantly said that this team was not the “Same Old Jets.”

Nearly three months later, they certainly looked like the Same Old Jets in a 48-20 loss to the Jaguars on Sunday, and that is damning for Glenn.

Look, no one expected these Jets to beat the Jaguars on Sunday. Not with Brady Cook, an undrafted free agent, making his first start at quarterback. Not with the Jets secondary playing backups in key spots. Not with the Jaguars riding a four-game winning streak and barreling toward a playoff berth.

But to lose like this?
