Telling sign of Giants’ troubling demise could not be missed

News RoomBy News RoomDecember 14, 20251 ViewsNo Comments

The evidence was there Sunday before the ball was kicked off, and the Giants proceeded to embarrass themselves in a way that was sadder than almost anything they have put on the field this season.

The 1 p.m. start was nearing and scanning those dull, gray seats triggered a predictable observation: Who cares?

Several thousand seats were filled with those who bothered to shovel off the driveaway and not burn their tickets by staying home. It was the thousands of empty seats that bore witness to the full extent of the Demise of the Giants.

When those who willfully decide to stay away outnumber those who come through the entry gates, it is the surest sign of a franchise in trouble.
