Joe Burrow gets brutally honest about his performance in blowout Bengals loss

News RoomBy News RoomDecember 14, 20250 ViewsNo Comments

Maybe Joe Burrow should have just sat out the rest of the season.

The Bengals quarterback, who missed a significant chunk of the season with a toe injury, threw a pick-six for the second straight week as the Ravens shut out their division rival, 24-0.

Cincinnati was derailed by Burrow’s miscue against Buffalo a week ago, and with no margin for error in their almost non-existent playoff chances, he did it again Sunday versus Baltimore.

Baltimore’s Kyle Van Noy intercepted Burrow, who was under pressure, with the Bengals threatening to score.

The linebacker then handed the ball to teammate Alohi Gilman, and the safety took it 95 yards for a touchdown.

The Bengals were already down 17-0 even before the crucial turnover, as another nightmare season continues in Cincinnati.

Burrow, who went 25-of-39 for 225 yards, offered a brutal assessment of his play afterward.

“There’s no team in the NFL that would have won the game today if I was the quarterback,” he said as the Bengals dropped to 4-10.

Sunday’s remarks come just days after Burrow gained attention for his introspective thoughts about how bad things were with the Bengals.

“If I want to keep doing this, I have to have fun doing it,” Burrow said last week. “I’ve been through a lot and if it’s not fun, then what am I doing it for? So that’s the mindset I’m trying to bring to the table.”

The Bengals visit the Dolphins next week.
