Yankees re-signing Amed Rosario on $2.5 million contract to fill needed depth

News RoomBy News RoomDecember 13, 20251 ViewsNo Comments

The Yankees are bringing back one of their trade deadline acquisitions for 2026.

Amed Rosario and the Yankees have agreed to a one-year, $2.5 million contract, The Post’s Jon Heyman confirmed.

YES Network first reported the news of the agreement.

The Bombers acquired Rosario, 30, from the Nationals in July, and he hit well in 16 games with a .303/.303/485 slash line.

He’s been particularly adept at hitting lefties, holding a career .800 OPS against southpaws.

Rosario, who started his career with the Mets, also gives the Yankees positional versatility by being able to play middle and corner infield spots as well as the outfield.
