It is, at this point, impossible to predict the direction of the Giannis Antetokounmpo saga.
There’s a world where the Bucks, equipped with a new center in Myles Turner, hit a 50-win pace and give Antetokounmpo no reason to make things uncomfortable. He’ll stick it out past the trade deadline, then reassess after the playoffs.
Antetokounmpo indicated that was the plan.
“The moment I step into this facility, wear this [Bucks] jersey, the rest does not matter. I’m locked into whatever I have in front of me,” the star forward said. “Now if in six or seven months I change my mind, I think that’s human, too. You’re allowed to make any decision you want, but I’m locked in.”
