Denise Richards’ ongoing divorce from Aaron Phypers is turning into a courtroom battle.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum found herself in the headlines when her estranged husband filed for divorce in July 2025 after six years of marriage.
Since then, the pair have dropped serious legal allegations against each other in court documents as divorce proceedings continue. At one point, the police were called to intervene on an incident.
“She’s loved him for all he’s done and supported his dreams, but it’s also been a big financial burden on her that she can’t continue to carry,” an insider told Us Weekly shortly after the divorce was announced. “It took a toll on both of them.”

Denise Richards’ Future on Reality TV
Although Us confirmed in July that Denise Richards & Her Wild Things was only envisioned by Bravo as a limited series and thus would not be returning for a second season, it appears Richards will be making some guest appearances on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills for season 15.
On August 2, photographers captured Richards having a meal with Erika Jayne and Sutton Stracke at Madre in Los Angeles.
“We had a nice conversation,” Jayne said on iHeartRadio’s “Diamonds in the Rough” podcast after the sighting. “That’s what I can say. I don’t want anybody to go through what Denise is going through.”
Denise Richards Breaks Her Silence
More than one month after Phypers filed for divorce, Richards decided to post a rare video message to her fans on social media.
“I’ve actually been posting on Instagram like nothing’s going on in my life, and I can’t do that anymore, because there’s something obviously going on,” she said via Instagram on August 21. “I just wanted to, in all seriousness, say that this has been a … very, very, very difficult time. It’s so hard to go through a divorce. … I really just wanted to say thank you so much for all of your supportive, kind, thoughtful, encouraging messages, because this has been a very difficult time, and there’s circumstances around my divorce that are difficult to talk about.”
Richards said she plans to one day open up more about her marriage breakdown, but is prioritizing “processing” the divorce first.
Denise Richards’ Support Group
After speaking out about her divorce on social media, Richards was flooded with supportive, positive comments from fans and her Bravo family, including Heather Dubrow, Meredith Marks and Lisa Hochstein.
“This too shall pass 🩷,” Kyle Richards wrote in the comments section. Chrishell Stause added, “Sending so much love your way♥️♥️♥️.”
Denise Richards’ Upcoming Gigs
In addition to continuing her OnlyFans account — which costs subscribers more than $67 for three months — Richards has a variety of projects booked, including an appearance at Comic Con LA at the end of September.
She’s also expected to appear in an indie action-thriller Dirty Hands.
Denise Richards’ Family Life
Through all the ups and downs of life, Richards has always expressed how important it is to be a good mom to her daughters. (She shares Sami, 21, and Lola, 20, with ex-husband Charlie Sheen. Richards also welcomed daughter Eloise via adoption after her birth in May 2011.)
“I’m most proud of raising my kids, especially in a time that is very different from how I was raised,” Richards told People in 2019. “It’s extremely hard to keep children grounded. This is not an easy time to grow up.”
Her relationship with Sheen also appears to be in a good place after Richards stepped out to support her ex and attend the Hollywood premiere of Netflix’s aka Charlie Sheen on September 4.
