Auburn will have to go through a monster of a defense if they’re going to make the SEC Tournament title game.
During the regular season, Tennessee was the fourth-best team in terms of defensive efficiency and allowed the sixth-fewest points per game (61.9) despite playing in arguably the toughest conference in the country.
When these two teams met in late January, the Volunteers locked the No. 1 seed Tigers up, holding them to a season-low 53 points and 30.5 percent from the field, including just 15 percent from beyond the arc.

Auburn vs. Tennessee SEC Tournament betting preview
Tennessee has yet to allow more than 81 points in a game this season, and only twice has a team hit the 80-point mark.
Both of those teams — Missouri and Vanderbilt — were among the highest-scoring teams in the country this season.
I’m not sure the Tigers will even get close to that.
Auburn’s offense didn’t exactly light it up against Ole Miss during the quarterfinal round either, scoring just 62 points.
With heavy legs on a back-to-back, I doubt the Tigers’ scoring attack will be much better on Saturday.
The play: Auburn team total under 70 points (-110, Caesars Sportsbook)
