On 25 August 2025, HWPL Los Angeles (Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light) and the Andean Parliament Peru came together for a groundbreaking event themed Juventud por la Diplomacia y la Paz (“Youth for Diplomacy and Peace”). The programme included a Peace Forum followed by a Peace Walk, marking a significant step towards uniting young people and regional leaders in the pursuit of lasting peace.

The event focused on the crucial role of youth in building a culture of diplomacy and collaboration throughout Latin America. Key speakers from both HWPL and the Andean Parliament underscored the need for dialogue and joint action to address global and regional challenges. In his address, Fernando Arce of the Andean Parliament stated: “Walking together for a world reconciled with love and, above all, fighting for the new generations so that we can sow peace.”

The Peace Forum opened a platform for participants to discuss how education, youth leadership, and peace initiatives can influence the region’s future. Many attendees showed their support by signing the Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War (DPCW) and committing to collaborate with HWPL on expanding peace education programmes across Peru and beyond.

After the forum, participants joined a Peace Walk — a symbolic act demonstrating their united pledge to foster harmony and understanding within communities and across borders.

In a joint statement, HWPL and the Andean Parliament reaffirmed their dedication to creating further opportunities for young leaders to actively engage in diplomacy, dialogue, and educational initiatives as effective pathways toward achieving sustainable peace.

This collaboration builds on the deepening relationship between HWPL and regional parliamentary bodies. It highlights how partnerships between non-governmental organisations and legislative institutions can inspire and empower the next generation to lead with peace and compassion at the forefront of their vision.
