As the Yankees hope to be the last team standing in October this season, they already know they’ll be in the first regular season game played next year.

MLB announced Tuesday that the Yankees will visit the Giants in San Francisco on March 25 to open the 2026 season.

The remaining Opening Day games will be played on March 26, which the league noted will be the earliest traditional Opening Day in history.

The Yankees will open their home schedule against the Marlins on April 3 and will visit the Mets at Citi Field from May 15-17 and then host them in The Bronx from Sept. 11-13.

And while the schedule for next season is taking shape, there remain serious questions about what comes next, since the league’s collective bargaining agreement with the MLBPA ends in December 2026, and there is already concern of another work stoppage, as there was prior to the 2022 season.
