The adage that “there is no such thing as a stupid question” doesn’t apply to the NFL landscape in 2024.

If it did, no one would be asking, “What’s wrong with the Chiefs?”

“C’mon! We’re talking about a 10-1 football team that won the last two Super Bowls,” Prime Video analyst and Pro Football Hall of Famer Tony Gonzalez told Sports+. “You have one of the greatest coaches of all time [Andy Reid], you have one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time [Patrick Mahomes], one of the greatest tight ends of all time [Travis Kelce], one of the greatest defensive tackles of all time [Chris Jones]. They are still for real.”

To Gonzalez’s point, there are about 29 other teams that would like to have the same “problems” as the Chiefs, who are tied with the Lions for the NFL’s best record as they seek to become the first three-peat Super Bowl winner. Only one of the other eight back-to-back Super Bowl champions got off to an 11-game start this good.
