Gracie McGraw celebrated Pride Month 2025 by embracing her sexuality and inspiring new fans.

The 28-year-old daughter of country music stars Tim McGraw and Faith Hill made headlines with a Tuesday, June 2, Instagram Story that revealed she is queer. “Everyone get more gay now,” the post read, accompanied by multiple exclamation points. “Happy Freaking Pride. I love being queer.”

The online declaration, which coincides with month-long celebrations and commemorations that honor the LGBTQIA+ community, was the first time Gracie publicly addressed her sexuality.

While her parents, Tim, 58, and Hill, 57, are yet to publicly respond to Gracie’s announcement, Gracie joined Tim onstage during his Nashville show on May 31, helping the music veteran sing his track “Last Dollar (Fly Away)” just as she did in the 2007 studio version.

Gracie was joined by Tim and Hill’s other daughters, Maggie, 26, and Audrey, 23.

Hill, for her part, has been a vocal supporter of the LGBTQIA+ community in the past, sharing public praise for fellow country singer Chely Wright when she came out in 2010.

Gracie McGraw Has an Adorable Poodle Named After Baz Luhrmann

Gracie shares her New York City home with Baz, a brown-and-white Standard Poodle she adopted in Nashville almost six years ago.

In an interview with Kinship published in 2023, Gracie revealed she was inspired to name him after watching a film directed by Luhrmann. “I wanted to originally name him Basil and then the week that I got him, I was watching Moulin Rouge and I was, like, ‘I like Baz. That’s such a good name for him.’ Technically, it’s like Baz Luhrmann, but also I don’t want to tell people that I named my child after Baz Luhrmann,” Gracie told the outlet at the time.

She’s Open About Her ADHD and Mental Health Struggles

Gracie spoke candidly about having “really bad ADHD” during her 2023 interview with Kinship, telling the outlet that Baz helps her maintain a healthy lifestyle and mindset. “Being able to have something that is always there and you have to take responsibility for … it’s also helped me keep my s*** clean, keep my stuff together,” Gracie explained. “I have really bad ADHD and in turn, anxiety and depression. I recently got on medication again for ADHD, and all the stuff that I’ve been teaching myself the past few years — having the dog and needing to be clean and organized and putting stuff in its place — has really kept me steady.”

She’s Also Open About Past Ozempic Use

Gracie discussed using Ozempic, a type 2 diabetes drug traditionally administered to improve glycemic control, during a 2023 online post.

Detailing how she used the medicine to help her cope with polycystic ovary syndrome, Gracie slammed online trolls who suggested she was trying to hide the fact. “I did use Ozempic last year, yes,” she replied. “I am now on a low dose of Mounjaro for my PCOS as well as working out. No need to accuse [me] when I have been open about it.” (Gracie publicly revealed her PCOS diagnosis in March 2022.)

She Dips Into Her Mom’s Wardrobe

Gracie revealed via an Instagram carousel in 2023 that she wore some of Hill’s vintage garments during a New York movie premiere.

“Last night in clothes my mom let me have, clutching my movie ticket to ground me from my own inner monologue … wishing I was wearing smaller underwear,” Gracie captioned the post that showed her at the screening of On Our Way. The photos captured her in a naked dress by Jean Paul Gaultier with lace detailing at the bodice.
